Healing with hands and heart
Who can benefit from Reiki?

Reiki can be given to people, animals, plants... in short, all living things.  It can also be used with inanimate objects, such as food or medicine, to support the healing/nurturing properties of the substance, as well as minimizing the effects of any harmful properties.

People seek Reiki for a wide variety of health-related purposes.  Some examples include:

  • Effects of stress
  • Chronic pain
  • Preparation for and recovery from surgery
  • Side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy for cancer
  • Lowering heart rate
  • Improving immunity
  • Mental clarity
  • Strengthening a sense of emotional well-being and/or spirituality
  • Creating a more peaceful birthing experience
  • Enhancing a sense of peace in people and animals who are dying
  • Maintaining wellness and supporting vibrant health

Clients often report a deep feeling of relaxation during and after a Reiki session.  Relaxation in and of itself has beneficial health-related effects, such as reducing pain, nausea, and fatigue.  A client might also experience warmth, tingling, sleepiness, refreshment, and/or the easing of one or more other symptoms after treatment.

Reiki is a safe healing technique, however it is not a substitute for professional medical treatment.  It is a holistic therapy that compliments and supports all other healing therapies, including allopathic medicine.

Reiki Principles

Just for today, I will let go of anger
Just for today, I will let go of worry
Just for today, I will give thanks for my many blessings
Just for today, I will do my work honestly
Just for today, I will be kind to every living thing
